Our Journey to Marketing Ourselves in Today’s Tech Industry

We have been doing custom programming as well as hosting and maintaining sites in Vancouver, BC for nearly 20 years. We create effective solutions to solve unique business problems, and we recognize that our clients have evolving needs, including digital marketing. We want to share with you our journey and how we drive traffic to our site, engage visitors, and gain new customers. Here is our step by step playbook to an effective and aesthetically pleasing website and social media accounts.

Designing and Developing an Eye-catching Website

Our journey to branding ourselves started with designing a clean and organized website that generates the most views for our service. This is why we went for the black and white colour scheme along with using a theme that could perfectly accompany our logo.  
We wanted to let our potential clients know that we are experienced, reliable, and will get the job done. To accomplish this we created different sections:

  1. A Portfolio section to show clients who we have worked with in the past.
  2. A section on Custom Programming section to give some idea of the type of work we are capable of.
  3. A technology section, for those that are interested in using a particular technology on their website.

Getting our Social Media Accounts Up and Running

What followed next was making an Instagram and Facebook page for our brand. You might wonder why having social media accounts is important for a business? Especially a business like ours where there is no tangible product to be displayed. An active social media page allows previous and potential clients to engage with you your brand:

  1. Previous clients get the chance to comment on your posts, leave informal reviews, and refer friends and family.
  2. Potential clients can find out about your brand and get a feel of what your company is all about.
  3. With the option of providing “contact us” buttons and linking your website, your social media platforms serve a direct connection to your clients.
  4. Through engaging posts and updates you could prolong contact with your previous clients.
  5. You can run affordable social media advertisement campaigns to increase views and likes and make your brand known.

For our business, we decided to stick to the black and white theme and therefore made our first post on Instagram and Facebook a scenic black and white image.

For the remainder of our Instagram posts, we decided to keep our holistic page image simple and minimalistic, therefore for every other post we wanted to include a caption post. So, it would go one scenic image then a caption post in between our next scenic image.

Our goal is to captivate and engage our audience, impart some knowledge, and encourage them to call us to learn more.
